The nephews does not like car pool

The school year 2019-2020 starts last June 3, 2019 here in the country. Busy days are here again for me. My duty in sending and fetching the nephews at school starts as well. I am glad that the nephews are in afternoon session. I do not need to get up early, and suffer the early morning traffic everyday. Their classes starts at 12:00 noon and ends at 6:00 pm. The picking up hours for the public vehicles and buses. I must say, it is very difficult to commute at this hour.

Because of the nephew’s schedule, their mother (my sister), and I are thinking of getting them in the car pool. With car pool, we are sure that the kids will be home before dinner time. I do not have to fetch them at school because the car pool will send them home. No hassle for me with this setup, the problem is the nine (9) year old nephew, does not want a ride in the car pool. He wants me to fetch him from school.argsh! We do not know why only the nephew knows. He just told us that he does not like to ride in the car pool. And he won. I will be doing the same routine, sending and fetching them. Poor

Kid Scout Investiture Ceremony

Yesterday was the Kid Scout Investiture Ceremony of my nephew at school. I can see the excitement on his face yesterday. The nephew likes his kid scout uniform very much. Even though he did not able to remorize the kid scout law, still he is trying his best. Funny thing is that, he has own words on the kid scout law.haha! I can tell that he is shy no more. I never thought that the nephew would be participating yesterday because he is so shy and lacking of self confidence as what his pediatrician told us. We are happy of his development.

I took some pictures of him yesterday for his remembrance and for his parents to see how he performs and participate yesterday. The investiture ceremony went well, fun (because of the kid’s performance), memorable to all the parents and students, and enjoyable. We are looking forward to their school camping and other kid scout and boy scout activities. Congratulations nephew, you are now the member of kid scout. Hopefully, you will gain more confidence, gain more friends, and be a responsible kid. Keep up the good works and be a good boy always.

Proud of my nephews and nieces

Recognition day is the much awaited day of all the students. This is the day where the school year ends and the students will be given awards, merits, medals and ribbons for the job well done at school. Students with high school and excel at school will be rewarded. I must say all the parents are so proud of their kids. They are the happiest people on earth because their sacrifices are recognizing through their kid’s achievements at school. Their waking up early, sending and fetching their kids at school, helping them studying their lessons, projects, and the likes are being paid off.

I am saying this because my brother and sister are one of the happiest parents because of their kids awards at school during the recognition day. Yes, my nephews and nieces finished with honors and other special recognition/ribbons for this school year. I am so proud of them because of their achievements. Unfortunately, I was not able to see them receiving their medals and ribbons during their recognition day. I want to extend my congratulation to my nephews and nieces, good job kids. Long way to go, but we know you can do it. Keep up the good works. You all make us all proud. Congratulations!!!

Feeding program at school

This week is a feeding program at school were my three-year old nephew enrolled. Parents assigned to do the cooking and feeding the kids. The teacher divides us in five groups and gives us the menu too. The menu is easy to cook because most of it are vegetables. The problem is that the kids does not like to eat vegetables that much. We do to make it look delicious to them and appealing so that they will eat it. Based from my experienced at home, it is difficult for me to persuade the nephews and nieces to eat vegetables. But they have no choice because I am the boss they have to obey me.haha!

My group assigned to cook boiled egg dip in a sauce with carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic and red bell pepper. It is very easy, we just have to slice the carrots and potatoes very thinly so that the kids will eat it. And we have to really cook it so it is very easy to chew. As expected the kids did not eat the carrots and potatoes but still we are glad that they like the taste of the sauce and ate the boiled egg. The kids went home smiling because their stomachs are full. The feeding program at school is indeed fun. Also, cooking is surely fun. I have new recipes to add in my cookbook.

Not allowed to stay anymore

The three months grace periods of allowing the parents to stay inside the classroom is over. The teacher announce lastFriday that parents are not allowed anymore to stay inside the classroom so the kids will learn to be independent. Some parents are worried because they can’t leave their kids for it will surely cry. They can’t leave their kids just yet for they want to look if they kid/s are doing the activity, to see if their kids are well-behave, and their kids knows what to do like to get the notebooks, going to the bathroom and to wash their hands at recess time. I do understand the parents because I can’t leave my nephew just yet, but we have to accept it for the kids sake.

I am confident to leave my nephew though for it will not cry as long as he can still see me. My concern is that the nephew is lack of focus and concentration. He will for sure not going to listen to his teacher because he likes to roam around the classroom and play with the toys there. He has tantrums too if he can’t get what he wants. That worries me much. I am confident though that the teacher will do her duties to control the kids and has the patience in handling different kids of kids behavior. Goodluck to my nephew. I pray they he will do good without my supervision and will participate in their writing activity at school.
