Slowly getting better

My father is not well. He has been sick since August last year. We brought him to the hospital twice before he agreed to undergo dialysis. It was the saddest point in our life. We have lots of why and how in our minds, but we offer it all to God. I know that He will always there for us and He will give us the strength to go on with life and to carry the trials that we are facing right now. We have accepted and embraced the condition of our father. We will always be there for him and will help him until the end. It is not easy, but with positive minds we know we can handle everything with smiles on our faces.

After six (6) months of dialysis therapy, my father is slowly getting better. We have been praying for him to get better and regain the strength so he can walk again. We felt his frustration every time he is trying to stand up and cannot do it alone because he is so weak. If only we can do something to bring back the life he used to have. To bring back the smile on his face and bring back the bubbly father we have. We are glad that the father nos is slowly getting better. We prayed for it a lot. Hopefully, he will fully recover soon. We wanted to see him walk again.

Fiesta Celebration and Thanksgiving

Last Saturday was the fiesta celebration in our village. We had the simple feast at home with some invited relatives, friends and co-workers of my brother and sister-in-law. It was not just a simple fiesta for us because we are also having thanksgiving celebration for the recovery of my father. We had hard days lately because my father got really sick, we thought that he will not survive, but thank you God he is slowly recovering. Through hemodialysis, my father gets better and he can walk now, not on his own though for the meantime. Hopefully, soon he will get better. We really missed his smiling face and his jokes.

To those who came and celebrates with us thank you very much. Also, a huge thank you to all who visited my father at the hospital and at home, your presence helps a lot for my father to recover. Thank you for making my father an important person. Hopefully, he will get better and better so his life will be back to normal so that he can do what he usually does. To the relatives who come visit, thank you very much for your presence, we appreciate it a lot.

Lastly, thank you God for always with us. Thank you for watching my father over. Also, thank you for my father’s life. Give him good health and long life. Amen!

Recovering at home

My father got confined at the hospital last week. It was one of the scariest moment in our life. He was not feeling well for the past weeks. We went to the family doctor for the checkup and had several laboratories to know what is wrong with him. The family doctor then refers us to the neurologist. Another laboratories were given to us and then went back to the doctor with the results. Right then the neurologist told us the condition of our father. We’re advised to confined him at the hospital but my father refuses. The neurologist understands and told us to take laboratories and go to her clinic for updates.

Unfortunately, my father condition is getting worse. Both legs are swelling, hardly breath and chilling. We decided to bring him to the hospital because his condition is serious. My father was confined for five days. Laboratories are normal except his looping creatinine. And the father’s getting is not working well. Now, he is recovering at home and hopefully, his condition will get better after taking those medicines. I am praying to God that my father will recover soon. Also, praying to God to give my father strength and determination to go on with life even if he is having a hard time. Thank you, Lord for my father’s life and for always there for him. To my father, get well very soon. Love to see you smiling again and playing with your grandchildren.

Simple Yet Memorable

Last Friday was the 70th birthday of my father. As what he wants we had a simple celebration. We invited our relatives and some of his closest friends. The father does not want an extravagant celebration for the reason that he is too old for that. The celebration is a simple dinner yet memorable to the celebrant because of the invited visitors to celebrate with us. I must say that his closest friends made his day extra special. I thank them for coming even if the weather is not cooperating. The heavy rain did not stop you from coming. Your presence is very much appreciated. Thank you very much!!!

Another year has added to my father’s life. I wish him good health, long live and more years to come. I thank God for this blessings. I thank God for always protecting my father from harm and for giving us a father like him. He is not a perfect father but I would not ask for a better father if given the chance to choose. To us, he is the perfect father. He raise us well and provides what we need with the absence of my mother. Happy birthday to my father and God bless you always!!!

Planning for father’s 70th birthday

My father will turn 70 on April. We are planning to give him a nice birthday party. Actually it is my SIL’s idea. She wants the special day of our father a memorable and an event that my father will treasure. She wanted to surprise my father about the birthday. She is asking of my idea, however, I cannot give her anything since I haven’t plan an event like that. I just told her to do the same when they were celebrating the 60th birthday of her mother. It is really a nice idea. How nice of her of the that thought.

We talked about the plan already, the first would be the flow of the program at the party. Who will be our invited guests, the motif if there is any, printed t-shirt with father’s name on it, invited relatives, and friend of father. When everything is finalize we will then of the perfect venue of the father’s birthday party. We have lots of places on our list like overnight at the pool, since my father likes to celebrate his birthday at the pool with the family, dinner at the function hall near the village, day tour at the beach, or simple dinner at home. But since father will turn 70, we want it to be special, and to surprise him. We have enough time to finalized everything, hopefully we pick the perfect venue for the big event of my father’s life.
