78th Birthday of my Aunt

Yesterday, we were invited at the 78th birthday of my aunt. It is the first that she will be celebrating her birthday in an extravagant way. She cried because she did not expect an extravagant celebration. Actually, her kids wanted to surprise her and shows their love and care to her especially now that the aunt is forgetful. She often forgets the name of her kids, her siblings and other relatives. She can’t barely recognize and can’t see clearly because of diabetes. She can recognize us once we speak. My aunt shows the signs of Alzheimer’s disease. It needs a lot of patience when you are talking to her.

Anyways, the celebration went well. All invited person comes especially the one she requested, her younger sister. We heard a never-ending thank you from her. Told us that we made her very happy on her birthday. I am so happy that she enjoyed her day. She laughed a lot, dance and sing. It remember my late mother seeing her. Only if my mom stayed longer we would have celebrate her 69th birthday and mother’s day as well. Again happy birthday to my aunt, I wish you good health and pray that God will give you more birthdays to celebrate. Keep smiling and be happy always! xoxo

Simple Yet Memorable

Last Friday was the 70th birthday of my father. As what he wants we had a simple celebration. We invited our relatives and some of his closest friends. The father does not want an extravagant celebration for the reason that he is too old for that. The celebration is a simple dinner yet memorable to the celebrant because of the invited visitors to celebrate with us. I must say that his closest friends made his day extra special. I thank them for coming even if the weather is not cooperating. The heavy rain did not stop you from coming. Your presence is very much appreciated. Thank you very much!!!

Another year has added to my father’s life. I wish him good health, long live and more years to come. I thank God for this blessings. I thank God for always protecting my father from harm and for giving us a father like him. He is not a perfect father but I would not ask for a better father if given the chance to choose. To us, he is the perfect father. He raise us well and provides what we need with the absence of my mother. Happy birthday to my father and God bless you always!!!

Planning for father’s 70th birthday

My father will turn 70 on April. We are planning to give him a nice birthday party. Actually it is my SIL’s idea. She wants the special day of our father a memorable and an event that my father will treasure. She wanted to surprise my father about the birthday. She is asking of my idea, however, I cannot give her anything since I haven’t plan an event like that. I just told her to do the same when they were celebrating the 60th birthday of her mother. It is really a nice idea. How nice of her of the that thought.

We talked about the plan already, the first would be the flow of the program at the party. Who will be our invited guests, the motif if there is any, printed t-shirt with father’s name on it, invited relatives, and friend of father. When everything is finalize we will then of the perfect venue of the father’s birthday party. We have lots of places on our list like overnight at the pool, since my father likes to celebrate his birthday at the pool with the family, dinner at the function hall near the village, day tour at the beach, or simple dinner at home. But since father will turn 70, we want it to be special, and to surprise him. We have enough time to finalized everything, hopefully we pick the perfect venue for the big event of my father’s life.

Another year of wonderful journey

Just this week, I celebrated my birthday. I am so happy that God give me another year of wonderful journey of life. There is nothing more I can ask for because I am truly blessed with the love of my family, friends, and good health. The celebration was simple. I just prepared the favorite foods that my family likes. Unfortunately my two brothers did not able to come to celebrate with me for some reason. I do understand it. Still happy because they did not forget to greet me on my special day. It means they remember my special day and it shows that they love and care for me.

Also, I would like to say thank you to God for the gift of life. Big thanks for another year of my life. My years is a wonderful journey though sometimes I encountered trials and difficulties, but I am able to overcome it with the help and support of my family, also for the strength that God has given me and my faith in Him. I wish to have many more birthdays to come, good health and complete family. Thank you God for this life. I also want to say thank you to my family for always been there for me. Thank you for the love and care. I love you all!

Celebrating her special day with us

It was one of the happiest days in my brother’s life when he finally introduced to us the girl he wants to marry. We were surprised because we did not know he has new girlfriend after the hurtful experience from his fast girlfriends. We were sad back then when his girlfriend dumped him. I saw him very down and sad. And we did our best to cheer him up. Everyday we tell him that life is still beautiful no matter how difficult the trials are. We are glad that after months of being lonely, the brother finally found the girl who loves him and treasure him.

Last December 6, 2016 they came visited us. They said that they have an important appointment to finish. We did not know that it was the birthday of my brother’s girlfriend/soon to be wife early next year and my future SIL. They spend one day and one night to celebrate her birthday with us. It was another important event in the family that we will treasure forever. We had a simple celebration at home. We cook our favorites, bought cake to complete the celebration and invited some close friends. It was indeed a very memorable event, and we are overwhelmed that she chooses to celebrate her special day with us. Happy Birthday again Ann and wish you good health and happiness in life with my brother.
